Environmentally Sound Fluid Management for Heavy Diesel Engines

The requirements with regard to diesel fuel are being tightened due to new emissions standards and this affects not only the on and off-road sector, but also the heavy diesel engine sector. The implementation of more efficient systems (for example, common rail technology) has meant that a high level of cleanliness and low water content have become essential to smooth combustion and reduced particulate emissions.

To meet these requirements, HYDAC has developed special filter concepts. The new, fully automatic backflushing filters for example, are self-cleaning, high-performance filters for removing solids from low or high-viscosity fluids. The filters are automatically cleaned during filtration without interrupting the flow of fluid.
