Maersk Innovator – Offshore Rig Upgrade

Since April 2014, Semco Maritime has been performing upgrades on the drilling rig Maersk Innovator. Rig upgrades are one of Semco Maritime's core activities, but the Maersk Innovator project has been quite different compared to other projects.

Primarily it is one of the biggest upgrades that Maersk Drilling has had carried out offshore, while the rig has been in full operation. The scope of the operation and the logistical challenges may be illustrated by the fact, that about 80t of steel and 90t of equipment were installed as a part of the upgrade.
