ALD® – Acoustic Leak Detector: PIG Version

The ALD-PIG is an autonomous version of the Acoustic Leak Detector to be inserted in a foam PIG and record data along the pipelines to be tested. The unit supplied to the Greek Company Constantinidis S.A. was equipped with an integrated magnetometer to detect concrete blocks and bend restrictors along the run allowing accurate positioning. The field test confirmed the positive detection of the simulated leak and magnetic targets.
