Schroeder Valves, a specialist manufacturer of protective pump fittings, has moved to its new headquarters in Gummersbach – a town 50km east of Cologne. On a 10,000m² plot of land the company built overall a 4,000m² new facility for €3.3m. With this Schroeder Valves has completed the much needed expansion.
“The new building opens up completely new possibilities. Other than on the old premises we can work in three shifts and therefore comply better with the order volume, ” says managing director Axel Mücher. “The conditions here are designed to open up new markets and allow a future-oriented corporate structure.”
The new, highly modern production facility offers more than twice as much space as the old factory. It houses the entire production cycle – from production planning and the high-bay warehouse, magazine, the welding shop, paint shop, assembly and quality control to shipping. The more than 30 machines are separated by wide aisles, allowing lots of room for the arrival and delivery of the material and products. From here, Schroeder Valves now supplies its customers around the world with precision engineering at its best.
All fittings manufactured here are unique. Each individual product is tailored to the needs of the individual customer. These come from the chemical and petrochemical industries, power plant construction, offshore industries, the paper industry and metallurgical industry as well as from the field of ship loading / marine transport. Valves by Schroeder are also found in many snow cannons.
