Extreme high or low temperatures, dry or humid conditions or hazardous environments present no problem for the Maxseal range of instrumentation controls for pneumatically or hydraulically actuated equipment from Norgren.

Onshore or offshore, the 316 stainless steel construction withstands the harsh conditions typically experienced in upstream and downstream oil & gas applications.

Maxseal ICO valves, filter regulators and accessories are specifically designed to deliver Engineering Advantage by increasing process efficiency, ensuring availability, and providing reliability and safety in oil and gas extraction (offshore and onshore), petrochemical processing, power generation, liquid natural gas (LNG) storage and floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) units. They are used for control of safety-critical applications such as emergency shut down (ESD), breakdown voltage (BDV), high-integrity pressure protection system (HIPPS) and solenoid-operated valve (SOV) systems and are suitable for both SIL 3 or SIL 4 safety loops.

The range’s market-leading high force friction ratio design provides a 10x safety factor and combined with the high thermal efficiency of the coil ensures that, even after many years of being energised, the valve will trip as designed whenever required. Low heat generation results in longer service life, while low energy consumption reduces operating costs and high flow rates improve efficiency.

The high-performance product range includes direct-acting or pilot-assisted solenoid valves in 2/2, 3/2 and 5/2 functions, control valves, instrument filter regulators, quick exhaust valves and spring-loaded regulators.

The ICO range of solenoid valves are suitable for use in Ee xd, Ex me and Ex ia classified areas and carry all internationally recognised approvals that are typically required by the oil and gas sector.

In addition to the standard range of equipment, Norgren also designs and manufactures custom assemblies, including manifolds for actuator control, skids and actuated valve packages. Special materials are available upon request.
