Due to company growth in the Steatite Batteries division and increasing demands for lithium battery packs, Steatite has appointed Jon Wells as business development manager. Focusing on applications which require a battery solution to operate in harsh and critical environments, Jon will strengthen our team and develop business within the oil and gas industry, oceanographic and defence sectors.
Jon’s appointment provides further technical and commercial expertise for the company. His experience in managing complex battery systems, battery management and electronic control will be a welcome addition for our customers, who demand a high level of understanding for their battery requirements.
Jon Wells joins Steatite after 10 years in the industrial power solutions sector. During this time, Jon worked for a variety of companies and fulfilled many roles, including senior key account manager at GNB Industrial Power and Technical Projects Manager at Exide Technologies. He spent six of these years at Norco Group Limited in a broad range of roles from Service Engineer to Key Account Manager. Jon’s career has also included 4 years with the Royal Navy carrying out unsupervised flight servicing of second and front line Sea Harriers.
Jon has extensive knowledge in the design and development of power systems in a wide range of industry sectors. His experience will be a great addition to Steatite’s existing capabilities. Steatite Batteries will maintain its focused approach and spearhead the development of future technology in this arena.
