Advanced Insulation Systems is proud to announce the launch of ContraFlex, a range of tailor-made flexible jet fire rated insulation jackets certified to International Standard ISO 22899-1 by Lloyds Register.
ContraFlex is a new high performance jet fire resistant insulation jacket capable of withstanding temperatures of 1,350°C for two hours with the back face temperature only rising to 122.9°C and the exposure to blast overpressures of 2.57bar.
Following extensive research, Advanced Insulation Systems has developed a jet fire resistant composite layer with thermal conductivity values as low as 0.02W/mk. This has reduced the thickness of ContraFlex by as much as two thirds compared to conventional systems, making it ideal for use in constricted spaces.
ContraFlex jackets are tailor-made by our highly experienced team either at our facilities or, where appropriate, at the project site anywhere in the world. Our principal fabrics engineer has over ten years experience in the manufacturing of flexible jackets coupled with full understanding of all applications within the oil and gas industry.
Advanced Insulation Systems provides a total environmental lifecycle support including survey, design, manufacture, installation and disposal of existing fire protection.
