CETCO Oilfield Services’ director of business development, Will Fortenberry, is moving from Aberdeen to Kuala Lumpur to support the company’s unprecedented growth in Asia.
Earlier this year, CETCO Oilfield Services announced it had opened two operational bases in Kemaman and Labuan in Malaysia, and expanded its existing facilities in Kuala Lumpur in response to increasing demand for the company’s specialist services.
Having trebled its workforce in Asia and on track to achieve a turnover of $5 million from its operations in Malaysia, Will’s move to Kuala Lumpur underlines the company’s commitment to continued international expansion.
Kuala Lumpur is now the central hub for all of the company’s engineering facilities. With a significant percentage of its equipment now fabricated in Asia, demand for its patented technologies and expertise is at an all time high.
The 45-strong team in Malaysia is focused on developing CETCO Oilfield Services’ presence in the market and are already achieving good results.
“With all the problems with sand production in Asia, our expert de-sanding product will bring a lot of value to customers in the region,” explained Will Fortenberry, director of business development for CETCO Oilfield Services. “Similarly as interest in our CrudeSorb® technology continues to soar, demand for our mercury removal (MR) technology is also mounting.”
Will joined CETCO Oilfield Services in Aberdeen in 2005, having worked at Halliburton for 29 years, latterly as vice president responsible for South East Asia, so he is ideally placed to help support the company’s growth in this region.
He said: “While I will remain to work closely with the team in Aberdeen to manage our business development in the eastern hemisphere, this move is designed to allow me to directly support the team in Malaysia, while continuing to deliver our innovative products and environmental solutions to the market.”
A global leader in the provision of cost effective, technologically advanced environmental systems designed to treat a variety of oilfield waste streams for the oil and gas industry, CETCO Oilfield Services is currently supplying CrudeSorb® technology for a wide range of projects in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines, among others.
