The BEx explosion / flameproof signals and control devices from E2S offer a comprehensive signalling solution for hazardous areas found in many industries including oil and gas and chemical plants onshore and offshore. The company’s range includes powerful sounders, manual call points, PA loudspeakers, bright beacons, telephone-initiated devices and specialist audible products with IECEx and ATEX approvals for use in Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22. Recent advances in technology have enabled the addition of specialist electronic audible products such as the Belltronic and Hootronic models, which faithfully replicate the sounds of traditional mechanical devices with the benefit of zero maintenance. Additionally, it is possible to create tailored plated assemblies to meet with a whole host of warning signalling requirements.
The entire range is manufactured from corrosion-proof, marine grade, copper free LM6 aluminium which is phosphated and powder coated making the installation in the harshest environments possible.
The high output Xenon beacons are available in 5, 10, 15 & 21 Joule models with up to 2,100,000 peak candela on the 21 Joule version. Bespoke plated assemblies are possible which can include both visual and audible signals. The devices on the plated units are mounted onto a stainless steel back plate and they can include up to five different components complete with the option of Exe Junction Box to make installation faster and easier.
Audible signals include traditional horn design sounders which are capable of up to 121 dB(A) at 1 metre and also a unique radial horn design for omni-directional sound dispersion capable of up to 117 dB(A) at 1 metre. All multi-device sounder and beacon installation feature automatic synchronisation ensuring a clear and uniform signal is produced throughout the protected area.
Manual call points in break glass, push button and tool reset models are available in alternate housing colours to meet with specific requirements and offers additional options such as stainless steel lift flap, duty labels and series and end of line resistors.
Specialist products Hootronic and Belltronic offer zero maintenance alternatives to traditional mechanical alarms and faithfully produce sounds of bells, buzzers, claxons and sirens depending on the model.
Combined audible and visual signals with either Xenon or LED beacons, and with traditional design horn or omni-directional horn, offer a single point of installation whilst creating a dual alarm signal.
Many models include a multitude of approvals on one device including IECEx, ATEC, TR CU for Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, VdS and MED ensuring global acceptance and compliance as well as easy ordering.
