Innovation and durability are the cornerstones of Cestus® gloves and have led to the creation of the most protective work gloves available. Building on our industry-leading reputation for hand-protection, Cestus has developed five new glove models that meet various needs on drilling rigs and across the oil and gas industry.
Leading the new wave of Cestus gloves is the Deep III® Sonic 10®, which features an unrivaled 3D grip terrain with ten unique peak zones, which create angles for maximizing grip control on wet, oily or dry surfaces. Among the 3D grip terrain are zones of dense, miniature bristles located strategically on the palm, fingers and thumb, in areas that assist with grip control. The Sonic 10 grip is oil, water and petrochemical-resistant, and designed to channel oil and liquid away from the palm to maximize gripping power.
Complementing the one-of-a-kind grip on the Deep III Sonic 10 is a one-piece CestusAero vented thermoplastic rubber (TPR) shield, which adds dorsal impact-protection from the fingertips to wrist. The TPR is vented for increased breathability, which keeps hands comfortable while using the Deep III Sonic 10.
Cestus is also unveiling the Deep III Cut5, which builds on the success of our most popular oil and gas glove Deep Grip® and features our exclusive SkidX Grip™, which combines oil-resistance and grip control for maximum tactile dexterity with wet or slick surfaces. Our exclusive cut-level five material under the SkidX Grip adds maximum cut-protection, which minimizes the risk of lacerations and cut injuries. Like the Deep III Sonic 10, the Cut5 has CestusAero vented TPR, which gives the glove breathable impact-protection from the fingertips to wrist.
After hearing from industry professionals, Cestus developed the RockHard® Original, which combines tactile dexterity, flexible impact-protection and durable goat-skin leather. The RockHard Original one-piece palm consists of reinforced goat-skin leather, which brings together long-lasting durability and uncompromised dexterity. TPR shields on the back of the fingers, thumb and knuckles adds light impact-protection and resistance toward scrapes and lacerations. The RockHard Original is an ideal glove for heavy equipment operation, cable and wire-handling, as well as forestry, ranching and search-and-rescue operations.
Rounding out the new class of Cestus gloves are the Tow Grip 101 and Tow Grip 201. The Tow Grip 101 features an industrial-strength cotton palm, which gives the user high dexterity, for uses such as operating machinery or tools, and is reinforced with Kevlar® thread double-stitching for durability. Alternately, the Tow Grip 201 has our new Zip Grip palm, which is both oil-resistant and tacky in order to provide excellent grip control and dexterity, as well as keep drilling muds, oil and liquid out of the glove. Both the 101 and 201 also have protective TPR for back-of-hand impact-resistance that extends from the fingertips to wrist, and is a powerful ally in preventing hand injuries caused by impacts, pinches, cuts and scrapes.
