Sulzer recently delivered its 1,000th pump to Enbridge, marking a unique event in the history of both companies, as well as in the industry. The event crowns a relationship that has spanned more than six decades.
On 18 July 2014, representatives of Sulzer and Enbridge met at Sulzer’s plant in Portland, Oregon, US, to celebrate the shipment of the 1,000th pump. It is now installed at Enbridge’s location in Vesper, Wisconsin, US. Sulzer has been supplying mainline pumps to Enbridge since 1953. In the recent past the pump portfolio supplied to Enbridge has been complemented with pipeline booster vertical pumps. The companies collaborate on specifically engineered pumps such as this one.
