Innovative projects and green energy initiatives
Some of the projects JR Gilbert Energy has been involved with include the development of conventional and unconventional resource plays, easily applicable artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to make improved business decisions and cost-effective multilateral well solutions for oil and gas, geothermal and CO₂ sequestration operations. For example, a design improvement in the junctions used in multilateral wells significantly reduces capital expenditures, Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions and the surface footprint.
We have also been involved with scalable green technologies for wastewater treatment that can be powered by solar and can even be combined with lithium and valuable mineral extraction. Another startup company has a more efficient and operation friendly way of producing biodiesel with reduced Opex. We are also in the early planning stages of creating a prototype having a new simple design that converts wave energy to electricity, with the potential to compete favourably with solar and wind power.
We are at a critical point in researching and developing conventional and unconventional energy resources as well as making improvements to well integrity.
