Trans-Asia has announced a contract award in Vietnam. The project includes providing pre-commissioning services for seven subsea pipelines.
After successfully executing the first project in 2013, Trans-Asia secured yet another contract in Vietnam. The project involves flooding, cleaning, gauging and hydro-testing of seven subsea pipelines, as well as dewatering with nitrogen of two gas lift pipelines. The works mostly involve subsea operations and Trans-Asia will use its base in Singapore to mobilise equipment, personnel and materials. This is the second major contract for Trans-Asia in Vietnam after successful execution of the Thai Long Dong Do (TLDD) project in 2013.
Trans-Asia Singapore managing director Sachin Sanghai said: "Vietnam is a strategic market for us and ranks third in South East Asia in petroleum resources, with reserves of approximately 4.5 billion barrels and 23 trillion cubic feet of gas. Trans-Asia has been investing in the last couple of years in building assets and technology to cater to the growing offshore market in South East Asia, and I wish to congratulate our team for this win."
