In a move to further strengthen its expertise in metropolitan high-rise scaffolding and access solutions, Safway Services has announced the acquisition of Atlantic Hoisting & Scaffolding, a leader and the largest provider of scaffolding and hoisting solutions in the New York City area.
“With this acquisition, Safway adds expertise in hoisting solutions for complex metropolitan projects to its leading capabilities in engineering, safety and project management of scaffolding and access solutions services,” said Marc Wilson, president and CEO of Safway Services, LLC. “Atlantic also helps provide the capability to bring customers a turnkey solution for high-rise access projects across North America, through Safway’s extensive branch network.”
Atlantic has been serving the commercial construction industry in New York City for more than 50 years and is known for designing and providing access services for the most complex high-rise projects. The company is located in Carlstadt, NJ, and provides services to customers through all phases of construction, with in-house engineers and designers working alongside on-site fabricators and carpenters.
Atlantic’s experience covers an array of projects throughout the New York City area, including work on September 11 Memorial Museum, Freedom Tower, The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center Renovation, The United Nations Building and The JP Morgan Chase Headquarters.
