ZOOK, a world leader in the manufacture of metal and graphite rupture disks and related overpressure protection products, has appointed Elmac Technologies as its distributor for the UK and Ireland.

“ZOOK safety products are a natural extension to Elmac’s existing portfolio”, continued Dr Cooling. “Adding a complete range of metal and graphite forward- and reverse-acting rupture disks, and explosion vents and doors, to the Elmac flame arrester and tank fittings product ranges, allows customers to purchase more of their safety items from a single supplier, thus simplifying project co-ordination and purchasing requirements.”
ZOOK operates the world’s largest facility dedicated exclusively to the manufacturing of graphite rupture disks and are recognised as the world leader in their development and production. They also developed the revolutionary universal reverse acting (URA) disk designed for low to high burst pressures suitable for liquid or gas service.
Unlike other rupture disk manufacturers, ZOOK strives to deliver new products that are backwards-compatible wherever possible to ensure that new discs do not require new holders (which can be expensive to change), and ZOOK discs can often be used in competitor’s devices.
