J.D. Neuhaus & Co. KG (JDN) has been certified for their comprehensive environ-mental management system according to the international environmental standard ISO 14001 by the TÜV Rheinland.
At the Witten Germany location, 140 employees produce hoists, winches and crane sys-tems, which are driven by compressed air or hydraulic fluids. The global development – the share of exports has been increased to 70% – is supported by companies in the USA, Great Britain, France, Singapore and China.
Demand for JDN products is particularly high in the oil and gas exploration and process-ing sectors, in mining, the chemical industry and heavy plant construction.
Environmentally conscious management has been a fundamental component of the cor-porate policy at J.D. Neuhaus all times. Starting with the development and production of the products, JDN places great value on ecological compatibility. Long service life and recyclability already make an important contribution towards relieving the environmental burden.
In addition, JDN Products can be oil-free operated due to the self-lubricating motor. That results in zero lubricant emission. Sound pressure levels and air consumptions will be minimised continuously.
Furthermore, the JDN production facilities have been adapted to minimise energy con-sumption, emissions, sewage and waste. Environmentally friendly production processes and materials are also employed.
One of the most important commitments of the J.D. Neuhaus management is to promote awareness, openness and a sense of responsibility among employees in order to establish conditions favourable to the implementation of the environmental guidelines.
Together with the certification of the environmental management system, the JDN qual-ity management system according to ISO 9001 has been recertified by the TÜV Rheinland.
