Kenz Cranes has successfully delivered two identical 60t diesel-hydraulic boom hoist cranes to EnQuest.
After successful factory acceptance testing, the cranes were sea-fastened and shipped to the client’s Peterhead shore-based facility in the UK. The cranes are awaiting final installation on EnQuest’s Thistle Alpha platform in the North Sea.
The cranes were designed in such a way that they could be easily dismantled for shipping and efficiently reassembled on location. Detachable lifting frames were incorporated into the design. These frames facilitated efficient disassembly and transportation and will also aid in the reassembly and final installation.
