EBI Cranes designs, engineers, and manufactures fixed boom, telescopic boom and lattice boom offshore pedestal-mounted marine cranes for a variety of applications.
The company also provides knuckle boom cranes, winches, hydraulic cylinders, gearboxes and a range of crane parts, services and inspections.
Pedestal-mounted cranes for the offshore industry
EBI Cranes supplies a variety of offshore pedestal mounted cranes certified by the American Petroleum Institute (API), which can be modified to any specifications or classification a customer requests. The company has also acquired certifications from the American Shipping Bureau (ABS), Lloyds Register and Bureau Veritas.
Every EBI crane is tested to 200% of its rated dynamic load, and meets or exceeds all standards set by the American Petroleum Institute and the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Lattice boom marine cranes
A lattice boom marine crane allows clients to have a lighter boom-to-load ratio than telescopic or fixed boom cranes. With a lighter boom weight, operators will be able to lift heavier loads.
Telescopic boom marine cranes
A telescopic offshore marine crane provides a longer reach on a vessel. Being able to retract the telescopic boom with EBI’s outer telescopic gearboxes, enables operators to store it more easily on the deck of the vessel, yielding more space.
Fixed boom marine cranes
More affordable and easier to maintain, EBI’s fixed boom pedestal crane has increased durability and has fewer moving parts.
EBI’s fixed boom pedestal crane is the perfect solution for standard, ordinary lifting and handling needs. A fixed boom marine crane works faster and is generally used to transport smaller items with standard lifting and handling purposes.
Knuckle boom marine cranes
EBI is an authorised distributor of Jebsen & Jessen knuckle boom marine cranes.
Winches, cylinders and gearboxes
EBI winches are designed and manufactured in Braithwaite, Louisiana, US, and meet all requirements established by API Spec 2C, the ABS, the US Coast Guard (USCG) and OSHA.
EBI offers six different sizes of hydraulic cylinders used on EBI cranes and related parts. The company’s ABS-classified liftboat jacking systems offer a high-quality service for the lifting and handling industry. All jacking systems are designed with a unique 12-tooth pinion design, allowing for better liftboat leg contact and faster jacking speeds.
EBI’s GB450, GB360 and GB82 models are designed to be long-lasting, dependable, easy to maintain, and capable of withstanding severe storm conditions and heavier loads.
