Colibrys has appointed Radiant-Elcom JSC as Russian distributor for its range of MEMS accelerometers.
“The Russian market for commercial and military aircraft and helicopters represents a significant proportion of the world market today. With that comes the need for leading avionics navigation and control systems and subsystems. As the world’s leading independent supplier of inertial sensors, we hope to capitalize on the opportunities that will come with the planned liberalization of this market. Radiant-Elcom provides all the necessary on the ground technical and commercial expertise to help us access the key customers in this country,” stated Jean-Michel Stauffer, VP sales and marketing for Colibrys.
“We see the Russian avionics and oil and gas industries as key opportunities for our future growth. They have the need and we have the expertise. Radiant are the ideal partners to facilitate bringing these elements together,” confirmed Bahram Arbab, Colibrys sales director for Europe and Asia.
“The products and the technology proposed by Colibrys are truly world class and immediately match with many of our existing customer requirements. Radiant will provide local applications and commercial support for this sophisticated products, accelerating the time for their integration into for example the next generation avionic navigation or subsurface directional drilling applications” says Alexander Tuzov, head of sensor and semiconductor division of Radiant.
This announcement further underpins the rapid expansion of Colibrys’ distribution and sales channels worldwide. Nominated by Frost & Sullivan in 2010 for Enabling Technology in MEMS-based sensors, the company continues to prosper well in sales of its inertial, vibration and seismic sensors for use in harsh and safety critical environments.
