Mollier

Mollier has been selected as a partner by SMOE shipyard in Singapore to provide cooling systems for residential platform 2 / 4 L on Ekofisk.

SMOE is a wholly-owned shipyard of Semb Corp Marine in Singapore. AF’s services will be included in SMOE’s delivery on one of ConocoPhillips’s new installations (Ekofisk 2 / 4 L) on the Ekofisk field.

The AF contract includes complete delivery and installation of refrigeration and freezer units, and cooling and freezing of food including electrical – instrument. The contract was won in strong competition with several international suppliers with long experience and previous deliveries to SMOE.

In cooperation with the customer, Mollier will design solutions that are environmentally friendly and reliable with a focus on minimal use of HFC refrigerants. It is emphasised that the operation and maintenance is taken care of in a proper manner.

Engineering will start immediately and deliveries will take place in 2012 and 2013. The contract with options is 30MNOK.

Facts about Ekofisk 2 / 4 L

Ekofisk 2 / 4 L is not just a housing platform, but also a new field centre for the Ekofisk area. The platform will be linked to the existing Ekofisk centre with a bridge. In addition to 552 cabins the platform will have a number of field service functions such as helicopter deck and hangars, 75 office jobs and several auxiliary systems such as supply of fire water and fresh water.
