Hejre

SharpEye 40/40I IR3 optical flame detectors have recently been selected to protect the Dong Energy Hejre Crude Stabilization Project in Denmark. The Hejre offshore oil field is operated by Dong Energy and is located in the North Sea. SharpEye detectors were chosen for accurate, fast flame detection within the oil field.

The 40/40I optical flame detector is multi-spectrum, based on three IR bands (IR3), detecting fuel and gas fires at long distances with the highest immunity to false alarms. The 40/40I IR3 can detect a 1ft² (0.1m²) gasoline/heptane pan fire at 215ft (65m) in less than five seconds.

Spectrex is the world-leader in the flame and open path gas detector (OPGD) field and is fully committed to enhancing the safety of your employees, capital investments and the environment. Being the first to launch major innovations that have become trade standards, such as the first UV/IR and IR3 flame detector designs, Spectrex continues to offer more than 40 different flame detector designs to meet application challenges from offshore to mall floors, from Alaska to Malaysia. Spectrex was first to incorporate the Xenon Flash in OPGDs to solve false-alarm issues common in the industry. Today, more than 28 major OPGD designs are offered by Spectrex for continuous hydrocarbon and toxic gas monitoring.
