Burner Fire Control this week shipped a customized Water Curtain® facilities cooling system for a long-term customer to reduce radiant heat on multiple facilities located offshore Equatorial Guinea.
The solution, based on the company’s Water Curtain rig cooling system, was specifically engineered and fabricated to address water supply routing challenges on platform deck. Burner crews were deployed initially to perform fire and safety inspections on multiple facilities and returned to complete a full pre-enginnering survey for the flare cooling project.
Burner and the client’s drilling team worked closely together to define the construction and engineering plan for deployment to include submersible pump installation and deployment, power supply, piping and heat attenuation for a turnkey solution that will service various facilities for their regional infrastructure in a multi-year equipment rental and service contract.
