Blaze Manufacturing Solutions, which works with major oil and gas operators to design and supply fire protection systems and loss prevention services, has secured contracts for the first quarter of 2015 with major names in the sector, including a chemical cleaning services contract worth circa £1m.
The specialist firm completed two multimillion pound projects in 2014, and reported a turnover of £18.25m. It is anticipated that this will rise to £22m in the financial year from 2014-2015.
To cope with continued demand, the specialist firm, which was established in 2006, invested £500,000 in its new headquarters in the Laurencekirk Business Park, and and opened new offices in Kemnay, near Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, to focus on specialist environmental engineering services including chemical cleaning, HVAC, fire and gas detection, and integrated maintenance.
Blaze, which was set up to serve clients in the Brownfield market, also has a regional office in Great Yarmouth to cope with demand from southern North Sea operations and a southern sales office in Milton Keynes.
During 2014, the company also employed additional key personnel, and currently has 30 members of staff, including design and engineering teams, procurement and business support, and 100 contractors working from its Laurencekirk HQ. Plans are in place to increase staff numbers by more than 20% this year.

The specialist firm, is experienced in all types of fire protection systems on numerous installations, including offshore production platforms, drill rigs, floating production units, onshore oil fields, terminals, refineries and petrochemical plants. The company also provides a number of complementary products, safety critical systems and services.
