Jorin and Turner Designs Hydrocarbon Instruments (TDHI) have announced a new collaborative venture to bring together a comprehensive service and monitoring package for oilfield-produced water treatment in USA and Canada, better servicing the needs of all those involved in produced water treatment and disposal.
Jorin and TDHI will combine their market-leading produced water treatment instrumentation and know-how to provide process surveys, analytical services, fluid characterisation, debottlenecking and separation solutions.
Gary Bartman, president of TDHI, said: “Our fluorescence oil-in-water measurement technology and water chemistry expertise combined with Jorin’s ViPA water quality systems and water treatment knowledge will enable customers to receive the comprehensive process information that they need, when and where it is needed.”
Jorin’s marketing director, Rick Gaskin, said: “This service will produce information that is accurate, usable and, most critically, available quickly to enable testing, trials and optimisation to be undertaken and evaluated in real-time.”
Using Houston-based personnel and rental instrumentation packages, the new services can be provided on either a day-rate or contract basis and will deliver meaningful data fast so that real operational budget savings can be achieved, while rapid solutions for users are provided.
Jorin’s VIPA products are based on high-resolution video microscope technology, which allows continuous online real-time analysis of oil, gas and solids in process fluids. The VIPA is used to diagnose process problems and evaluate solutions online.
Turner Designs Hydrocarbon Instruments manufactures oil-in-water monitoring equipment using UV fluorescence. Their products include the TD-500D handheld oil-in-water analyzer and the TD-4100 line of products for continuous online monitoring of oily water discharges.
