In connection with the monitoring efforts after the Deepwater Horizon accident in the Gulf of Mexico, EPA has issued BP a Dispersant Monitoring and Assessment Directive for Subsurface Dispersant Application. This directive, dated 10 May 2010 requires BP to use Sequoia’s LISST for particle analysis at various depth intervals from the surface to the sea floor.
In their Dispersant Monitoring and Assessment Directive for Subsurface Dispersant Application – Addendum 1, 14 May 2010, EPA requires BP to deploy Sequoia’s LISST instruments from vessels for continuous sampling of surface waters during transits from station to station.
