Statoil has exercised an option to extend an existing contract with SAR for treatment of drilling waste for oil fields serviced by Florø, Sandnessjøen and Hammerfest. The extension is valid for two years, from 1 September 2016 until 1 September 2018.
In addition, Statoil expands the contract to also include drilling waste from oil fields serviced by the Dusavik base in Stavanger.
These changes mean that SAR is the biggest player in the treatment of drilling waste in Norway, and it reinforces this activity as an important core activity for the company. SAR very much appreciates the continuing confidence and trust shown by Statoil in extending the contract and widening the contract scope.
