Norwegian oil waste management company SAR AS has been awarded a contract to build a facility to treat oil-based mud (OBM) drill cuttings generated by Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) drilling operations in Kuwait. The length of the contract is five years plus a one year option for extension.
After several years of focused and intense efforts, SAR is very satisfied to finally secure a contract within one of its core line of oil waste management services and business areas. This is the first contract that SAR secures of this scope in Kuwait and SAR is extremely satisfied to be entrusted with the execution of this important work for KOC as well as the environment.
The contract is due to start later this year immediately after the establishment by SAR of a full drill cuttings treatment facility in Kuwait to execute the contract.
