Leenaars has released a free white paper on Offshore Technology, detailing the design and development of the company’s newly built yacht carrier.
In this white paper you can find information on design criteria; propulsion, power and fuel consumption; outfitting and construction. The paper also explains second life applications for the carrier. The vessel is designed solely as a yacht carrier and cannot make sidesteps to the heavy lift and offshore market at the moment. The shipping business however is by nature a cyclic market and the yacht business is sensitive to trends. In order to not have a useless ship in case of caving in of the yachting market Leenaars BV reserved space for additional thrusters forward. With those the vessel will make an excellent platform for several offshore operations.
