Legrand, a global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures covering cable management, wiring devices, and power distribution equipment, has joined the increasing number of Intergraph® SmartPlant® 3D customers by purchasing consultancy services for Intergraph’s powerful next-generation 3D design solution. Legrand’s desire for greater market penetration directed them to Intergraph’s Process, Power & Marine division and its services.
The project will create all necessary data files and libraries to use Legrand’s Swifts Cable Ladder and Cable Tray and Cablofil Wire Mesh Cable Tray specification data in SmartPlant 3D and PDS, which will make Legrand’s extensive product offer more accessible to its clients.
Using a library of intelligent cable ladder and cable tray product models inside a highly productive 3D design software system allows design teams to produce accurate and efficient cable management routing schemes, plans and procurement lists, as a fully integrated part of the overall plant design.
