Mott MacDonald is to standardise use of Intergraph® SmartPlant® solutions across its oil and gas business. The decision was prompted by the success of the company’s adoption of Intergraph Smart™ 3D for particular projects in the Middle East. The software will be rolled out to the consultancy’s offices in the UK, UAE, Oman and India over the next year.
Mott MacDonald has purchased licenses for Smart 3D, SmartPlant Electrical Basic, SmartPlant Foundation Basic Integrator, SmartPlant Interop Publisher and Smart 3D to PDMS Exporter. These solutions will allow the company to capitalise, when needed, on the interoperability of Intergraph’s Smart 3D solutions and in turn achieve increased productivity and significant savings with the implementation of just one 3D solution.
Intergraph process, power and marine president Gerhard Sallinger said: "We are very happy that Mott MacDonald has found longstanding success with Intergraph solutions, notably with its implementation of Smart 3D; enough so that it has taken this significant step forward in international adoption and implementation. It is our intention to continually support Mott MacDonald in this venture and foster continued success throughout its oil and gas business."
Mott MacDonald oil and gas managing director Albert Allan said: "We are incredibly impressed with the successful adoption of Smart 3D technology on our latest detailed design projects. We look forward to standardising and expanding our use of Intergraph SmartPlant solutions to support the technical global services we offer."
