Hexagon’s PPM division, the leading global provider of engineering software for the design, construction and operation of plants, ships and offshore facilities, today announced it has completed the acquisition of CodeCAD Inc., a software retailer and distributor of Hexagon’s CADWorx® & Analysis Solutions in Canada.

The CodeCAD acquisition consolidates Hexagon’s sales and support structures in Canada. By conveying a single message to existing and new Canadian customers, Hexagon will be more efficient, increasing customer success by providing a single structure to support and service the entire solutions portfolio from Hexagon’s PPM division to customers in the country.

CodeCAD, headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, has provided sales, technical support and training for best-of-class engineering software products for more than 30 years. Its latest achievement is implementing virtual technology that provides an interactive, online training experience as good as attending in-person.

CodeCAD also brings an experienced and knowledgeable team of professionals who will complement Hexagon’s employees to continue solidifying customer relationships, strengthening support and training capabilities on CADWorx and Analysis Solutions to support customers’ requirements for project execution.

“We are excited to welcome CodeCAD officially into our Hexagon family. They have been a trusted partner for many years,” said Don Brundage, Executive Vice President Americas Region, Hexagon’s PPM division.

“Customers will benefit from the tighter link CodeCAD now has with us and we look forward to welcoming them to Hexagon.”

CodeCAD President Jim Wilcox said: “Integrating our people into Hexagon will allow us all to work more effectively as one team that is greater than the sum of its parts. We can now share our knowledge and skills with Hexagon and Hexagon customers beyond our Canadian borders, while continuing to provide the same first-rate technical support to our Canadian customers they’ve come to rely on over the last three decades. We also have new opportunities to broaden our knowledgebase to other Hexagon products. I’m looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish together.”

CodeCAD is fully consolidated as of December 11, 2020. The acquisition has no significant impact on Hexagon’s earnings.
