Offshore fabrication services
Fabrication work is carried out utilising experienced project management teams, backed up by skilled in-house tradesmen from shipbuilding and offshore fabrication backgrounds. Fully supported by experienced QA/QC, safety, environmental management teams the integrated project management teams all follow established and mature working procedures.
A&P has in-house lofting, NC and PCN qualified personnel for MPI, with access to external UT and radiography when required. The company owns state-of-the-art EDM and conventional optical alignment equipment and can carry out welding to the requirements of LRS, ABS, BV, DNV, GL and RINA for a full range of ship structures.
Modular offshore structures
Either as part of a larger project or as stand-alone delivery, A&P has wide experience of fabricating, pre-commissioning and direct load out of modularised offshore structures. These services are carried out using a complete in-house capability, including structural, piping, mechanical and E&I work.
FPSO projects for the oil and gas industry
A&P Group has carried out a number of floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) projects for clients over a number of years. These projects are intensive and complex conversion projects, using modular topsides wherever possible, to accelerate the programme and ensure that concurrent activity on the vessels and in the fabrication yard enable a smooth and effective conversion programme.
A&P yards have been adapted to facilitate turret arrangements when in dry-dock, and that, coupled with the appropriate dockside craneage, offers the complete solution for both hull and topside conversion work for FPSO vessels.
Offshore structural projects
Utilising multi-discipline ‘one stop shop’ capabilities A&P has the expertise to produce various modular structures for the offshore oil and gas market. Utilising our core fabrication skills, A&P is able to offer a comprehensive solution to projects ranging from simple process units to be added to existing structures, through to more complex new-build process modules or jacket structural elements e.g. structural nodes.
Subsea templates, manifolds, wellhead protection and riser base structures
Utilising fabrication facilities and expertise within the group and given the increasing challenges in deeper waters or in field life extensions, subsea infrastructure continues to play an important part in our future natural resource development. A&P Group has the capability to extend their service to this growing market, from their work on OSV and CSV vessels to the provision of, for example:
- Subsea templates and manifolds
- Midwater arches
- Wellhead protection structures
- Riser base structures
