Pittsburgh Corning is pleased to announce that effective August 2012, the FOAMGLAS® insulation product line will carry the CE Mark. This is to conform with product standard EN 14305 ‘thermal insulation products for building equipment and industrial installations – Factory made cellular glass (CG) products.’
The introduction of consistent European product standards has mandated the declaration of key product properties for all technical insulation products which are to be CE-marked.
The primary objective of CE-marking is to provide a general European normalisation, leading to a more reliable and transparent industrial insulation market. These standards also help to simplify free trade all across all of Europe.
In addition, CE-marking indicates that the products conform to the provisions of all applicable European directives and meet all applicable safety, health and environmental requirements. FOAMGLAS® insulation products are CE-marked in compliance with European product standards.
