Our involvement in Green Rio 2024 was led by Melissa Rocco, our HSE Manager and coordinator of the Industrial Symbiosis Committee, who spearheads decarbonisation and carbon capture efforts to inspire global and local sustainability transformations.
As a company based in Brazil, Cladtek is actively contributing to dialogues that align with G20 values—targeting economic stability, environmental policies, and sustainable development—helping Brazil attract international attention for impactful projects like the Santa Cruz industrial symbiosis initiative and the Pista Project in Rocinha.
What Was New at Green Rio 2024
Green Rio 2024 featured the ‘Casa G20’ symbiosis project ceremony, emphasizing the event’s alignment with the G20’s global sustainability priorities. Through panels and discussions, Green Rio provided an international stage to amplify Brazil’s commitment to circular economy practices and sustainable urban development.

From October 28 to November 2, our team took part in several events and panels, showcasing our solutions and encouraging collaboration:
October 29: Presented on Cladtek’s waste-reducing solutions in the Santa Cruz industrial district.
October 30: Participated in the Casa G20 symbiosis project ceremony and the Pista Project in Rocinha, underscoring Cladtek’s commitment to sustainable urban development.
October 31: Joined Green Rio’s opening, featuring panels with leaders from OECD, FIRJAN, and other international representatives, focusing on circular economy and industrial symbiosis.
November 1: Tiago Kaspary, Cladtek’s Group Director of RD&I, New Technologies & Technical Sales, joined the Energy Roundtable to discuss climate solutions.
November 2: Through partnerships with Tia Sônia Community School, highlighted the importance of community education and engagement in sustainable practices, supporting economic and environmental development.
