Pentair’s Technical Solutions, the leading provider of electrical heat-tracing systems, has launched the Pole Position contest to celebrate the 40-year anniversary of its Raychem self-regulating technology. Inspired by the first ever Formula E electric-racing championship, the global initiative invites customers, installers, distributors, employees and the general public to participate in an online contest with a chance to win a number of exciting prizes.
Invented and first introduced by Raychem in 1974, the company’s revolutionary parallel-polymeric, self-regulating, heat-tracing technology led to the development of a wide range of innovative solutions for critical industrial applications, such as freeze protection and process temperature maintenance.
To mark this significant moment in the company’s history, Pentair has launched an online racing game, where participants can win amazing prizes, including a full event package for the Formula E race in London in June 2015. In addition, the company will be hosting a series of exclusive events alongside races in Asia, the US and Europe. The first of these takes place in September when the Formula E season starts in Beijing.
"Since the introduction of heat-tracing technology in 1974 until today, Raychem has remained at the forefront of innovation in industrial heat management," comments Martin Lee, global marketing director at Pentair.
"We are very proud of this achievement and wanted to celebrate Raychem’s remarkable heritage in a special way. Our Pole Position campaign is fun, exciting and simply the right way to step into the future with our partners, customers and Raychem fans around the world."
In 2014, Raychem celebrates 40 years of self-regulating heat-tracing technology. To this day, the company is still recognised as the global leader in innovative and energy-efficient heat-tracing and control and monitoring solutions with the highest quality and reliability in mind.
