Tiger Offshore Rentals of Texas, US, has announced that it has acquired OAG Offshore Rentals East Med, making it the only local provider of DNV 2.7-1 certified offshore equipment in Cyprus. OAG has been recognised as one of the fastest-growing providers of offshore cargo carrying units (CCUs) in the Mediterranean region, and the addition of OAG cements Tiger’s dominant position to service the Leviathan gas field, as well as ongoing opportunities in the Mediterranean and North African region.

Tiger regional manager David McCormack said: "OAG’s substantial inventory of half-height and mini containers, as well as cuttings skips, boat skips and other tool baskets and containers, is a welcome addition to the already substantial Tiger rental fleet. This puts Tiger in the driver’s seat when it comes to providing DNV 2.7-1 certified cargo carrying equipment and fluid tanks to the offshore logistics community in the Mediterranean and North African regions."

"We are excited to welcome OAG employees and customers to Tiger."

The burgeoning opportunities in North Africa, as well as the recently discovered Leviathan gas field in the eastern Mediterranean, is driving demand for this type of specialised, high-quality, certified equipment.

Mr McCormack added: "We are excited to welcome OAG employees and customers to Tiger. Our focus right now is on providing outstanding service to OAG customers and offering an expanded inventory of products and capabilities."

Tiger Offshore Rentals is excited to add Cyprus to its international rental force covering North and South America, the Middle East, Africa and beyond.
