The ‘STROMME’ brand name is back. After a period where EMS branded its products as ‘EMS Marine Products’, the management of the company has decided to go back to the STROMME name. The move is intended to benefit from the still high awareness and recognition that the brand has, after several decades being a synonym for high quality marine products. It is also intended to give the Marine Products Division more autonomy and maneuverability.
From now on, products such as the MAXI-FLEX cargo hold cleaning equipment, the MARI-CLEAN high pressure cleaners, MARI-AIR working air compressors, etc. will be marketed as ‘STROMME marine products’.
The STROMME marine products history goes back more than 30 years when Björn Stromme started to develop dedicated equipment for ships. Step by step, STROMME and later EMS Ship Supply have adapted the product range to fit the special needs of the customers.
The focus was more and more lead to niche markets where STROMME and EMS Ship Supply have developed a strong position, especially in the field of cargo hold cleaning. In this field, the product range is very comprehensive and EMS Ship Supply is today able to offer individual custom packages to support all customers in this area with a solution designed for each company’s special needs. Products in this group range from STROMME cargo hold cleaning equipment itself over MARI-CLEAN high-pressure cleaners, diaphragm pumps and dedicated cleaning chemicals such as STROMME Aquaclean HD to MARI-AIR working air compressors providing the needed air pressure for the cleaning operation.
The main equipment and chemicals have been placed in Canada, China, Egypt, Germany, Gibraltar, Ireland, Italy, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Panama, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan and the USA. Through these stocking points it is aimed to assure availability in all key shipping areas all over the world. On top of the STROMME products EMS Ship Supply offers comprehensive consultancy for the product segments to maximise the success of any operation involving the products.
