Teijin Twaron changes name to Teijin Aramid
Teijin Twaron recently changed its name to Teijin Aramid. This change of name affects all locations worldwide, from production and head office in the Netherlands to all sales offices in the various continents.
WHY TEIJIN ARAMID?
Over the years Teijin Twaron has become a leading supplier of aramid products, with around 50% market share worldwide. This leading position is the result of constant improvement of the performance of its products, achieved in close cooperation with its customers. Since the acquisition by the Teijin Group in 2000, Teijin Twaron evolved from one brand company (Twaron) to four aramid brands; Twaron, Technora, Sulfron and Teijinconex. Based on a firm belief in the future of the aramid market, the new name Teijin Aramid reflects accurately the present focus of the company and will allow fully expansion and further development of the product range.
This expansion is being supported by the Teijin Group, which considers high performance fibers (a.o. aramid) as one of the core business of the group. For the last seven years the Teijin Group has proved its commitment to the market by investing consecutively in capacity expansion for the aramid business.
WHAT HAPPENS TO THE NAME TWARON?
Twaron is the flagship para-aramid product of Teijin Aramid and its name will remain unchanged. Twaron is applied in an unparalleled number of applications in the automotive industry, protective (bullet, fire and cut resistant) clothing, optical fiber cables, civil engineering and construction industries.
