Parker Hannifin Corporation, the global leader in motion and control technologies, has successfully completed testing of an offshore loading and unloading hose in full compliance with GMPHOM 2009.
Testing included the demanding dynamic bending, torsion and tensile cycles, followed by a burst test that far exceeded the minimum requirements set out by the guide to manufacturing and purchasing hoses for offshore moorings (GMPHOM). GMPHOM 2009 supersedes the 4th edition of the guidelines published in 1991 by the Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) to provide technical recommendations and guidance.
Parker’s energy products division manufactures marine hoses at its Ortona facility on the east – central coast of Italy.
