Hertel Offshore

Hertel’s offshore division has demonstrated its commitment to providing quality products and services to the oil and gas industry by achieving ISO 29001 accreditation.

The ISO/TS 29001 certification provides global consistency and improved assurance in the supply quality of goods and services, emphasising those issues which are important to the oil and gas industry. The certification process assesses whether a company’s processes and practices meet strictly defined international benchmarks for service quality.

Hertel Offshore specialise in the design, engineering, construction and maintenance of offshore accommodations. The independent assessment process was carried out by the British Standards Institution (BSI) and began in January. In order to qualify, Hertel underwent a series of audits assessing our full quality management system.

Hertel head of health, safety and quality Richard Byrne said: "I am delighted that Hertel have succeeded in the achievement of this important accreditation, as it demonstrates our unrelenting focus on providing our customers with the highest quality products and services.

"The whole team at Hertel have worked hard to ensure we work to the industry’s best practices and that health, safety and quality are at the core of all of our activities."

BSI Assessor Joe Hall said: "Achieving ISO 29001 certification is a rigorous process and one that showcases their absolute commitment to delivering a quality service to their customers. Having this certified management system will undoubtedly help Hertel to monitor and improve the way it operates and they should be proud of this accomplishment."
