ELA Container Offshore GmbH will be the main sponsor of WINDFORCE conference and exhibition in 2015 and 2016. The WINDFORCE conference 2015 has become the central meeting place for the offshore wind industry in Germany during its ten-year history and takes place from 9 to 11 April 2015 in Bremerhaven.
At the conference opening on 9 June 2015, Günter Albers, Managing Director of ELA Container Offshore, as well as Olaf Lies, Niedersachsen’s minister for economic, labour and transport, and Markus Rieck, managing director of ALSTOM Power Renewable GmbH will give a short speech. During all days of the conference the ELA Offshore Living Quarter and the Mobile Rescue Container, the ‘MEDICbox’ by WINDEAcare, are displayed at the outdoor area.
Already in 2013 and 2014, ELA participated as partial sponsor and will now -as a main sponsor- obtain even more visibility.
"We are very pleased that we were able to gain ELA as a new main sponsor for Windforce. We are happy to provide an attractive platform for ELA and work together in the next two years," CEO of Offshore Wind Messe- und Veranstaltungs GmbH, Jens Eckhoff commented the decision.
The WINDFORCE-Conference and trade fair is the central meeting point of the Offshore-Windenergy-branch in Germany. The conference and trade fair provide good networking opportunities.

At the outdoor area ELA will showcast the 20 ft ELA Offshore Living Quarter which is designed for the use on rigs, converter platforms and all types of seagoing vessels, pontoons and barges. Due to the 20ft ISO Norm, CSC measurements and the tare weight of only 7.7t the handling is easy and the containers are delivered at low costs within a minimum of time. However, the unit provides enough space for a shared sanitary unit and two separate living rooms to increase users’ comfort factor and ensure their privacy.
"Another highlight at the outdoor area will be the Mobile Rescue Offshore Container that was developed by WINDEAcare Group and built by ELA. We are happy to display the first container of this type at WINDFORCE 2015 in Bremerhaven," Katharina Pleus, Marketing & Project Manager at ELA Container Offshore GmbH announced.
The ‘MEDICbox’ by WINDEAcare is a mobile solution using a 10ft ELA Offshore Container with DNV 2.7-1/ EN 12079-1 certification and provides an adequate alternative to flight solutions whenever medical care cannot be provided by helicopter.
"Using the MEDICbox on a suitable vessel, patients can be treated professionally on site and transported immediately," says Caspar Spreter, managing director at WINDEA Offshore GmbH & Co. KG.
The MEDICbox provides modern telemedicine equipment, direct media connection to a telemedicine center onshore and can be used on various vessel types. It provides medicine and medical equipment to ensure EMS treatments in case of medical emergencies. All equipment fulfills the latest valid offshore and medical treatment area guidelines.
"The compact design ensures effective treatment in the container and only needs a small part of the vessel capacity," explains Caspar Spreter.
Both outdoor exhibits, the Offshore Living Quarter and the mobile MEDICbox, are ELA Offshore Containers that are ‘made in Germany’ and have the DNV 2.7-1 / EN 12079-1 and CSC certificates.
Depending on customer requirements, ELA Offshore containers are individually customized, immediately ready for use and are available at short notice.
