Since July, temporary rooms from ELA Container are being used as staff and office containers on the ABC peninsula offshore terminal in Bremerhaven, Germany.
ELA Container has set up a two-story facility for BLG LOGISTICS Solutions at the location, consisting of eight ELA premium rental containers and a sanitary container with wastewater tank. Overall, the ELA room modules take up a total area of about 160m²on the offshore terminal. The ABC peninsula is mainly used for the transshipment and storage of offshore components for wind turbines and covers a terminal area of 100,000m².
The ELA containers in Bremerhaven are specially equipped with furniture and an external staircase with a platform and railings. "Our terminal area is very large but nonetheless every square metre of building area is valuable. Thanks to the office modules provided by ELA container, we can save space and use space sensibly upwards," said Jan Cappelmann, manager of Operations at BLG LOGISTICS Solutions. The mobile units have been in use on the offshore terminal for approximately a year.
Jan Cappelmann got to know ELA at an offshore trade fair. His first contact with ELA sales representative Karsten Klatte impressed him. "Flexibility as regards space and time is very important to us. ELA’s mobile rooms provide this. Furthermore, ELA Container was the only supplier who could deliver quickly and reliably on our desired delivery date. It was an easy decision for us," said Cappelmann, describing his company’s cooperation with ELA Container.
