Asian Offshore Services (AOS) has successfully negotiated three new E-house projects as part of their 2011 campaign to build on their successes in 2010. The company has been awarded three new projects to build a number of E-houses and multi-purpose modules for ABB, Keppel Shipyard, Singapore as well as Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon (KJVG) Project, Australia.
The ABB E-house project is the design and manufacturing of high-voltage and low-voltage switchgear buildings in support of an onshore project for Sabah Electric S.B, Malaysia. Both of these E-houses are designed to be mobile units for ease of transportation if required from site to site throughout Sabah Malaysia.
The Keppel Shipyard equipment houses involve the design and manufacture of two stackable modules that will provide a multi-storey laboratory, workshop and general purpose facilities onboard FPSO OSX-1, presently being upgraded in Singapore and destined for the Waimea field in Brazil’s Campos Basin.
The third project secured by AOS was the building of two jetty loading-arm control console buildings for the large Chevron Gorgon project in Australia. This follows on their success for two previous E-house projects with Chevron offshore in the Gulf of Thailand for their Benchamas and Platong platforms.
All of the AOS E-house modules will be designed and built in Malaysia and is a continuation of their success stories from 2010 projects that now sees them as one of Asia’s emerging regional specialists in bespoke modular and single-lift buildings for both new build and refurbished E-house requirements.
AOS has also further developed their in-house capabilities support to local OEM’s by now offering full EPCC and system integration services into their core business for electrical and instrument equipment E-houses that include but not limited to:
- LV/HV switchgear, MCC, battery / UPS
- DCS process controls, F&G, telecomms
- Power generation system controls (turbine/recips.)
- Gas compression stations (turbine/recips.)
- Wellhead and chemical injection packages and control systems
- E-house building, plus utility support systems
MD Faisal Siebel commented: “AOS continues to support regional requirements for bespoke modular and single-lift E-houses, living quarters and multi-purpose buildings for both brown and green field projects and continue to be a market-leader in this specialist market.
“These new Q1 projects show the strength of AOS in the Region in becoming a recognised major player in what is seen as a specialist market providing specialist services.
“We are also very optimistic that we will continue to build on our successful projects for Q1 2011 and secure numerous other prestigious contracts for our company as part of our business strategy to continue the development of AOS into a major Malaysian specialist fabricator supporting both the International and local Malaysian markets.”
