John Wood Group (Wood), an energy industry-focused consulting and engineering company, has secured a contract to continue providing services to Shell’s projects across the world.

Under the enterprise framework agreement (EFA), Wood will offer engineering, procurement, consulting and project management services to the greenfield and brownfield projects of the UK energy giant.

The three-year EFA will see Wood assist Shell in its operations that guarantee energy security and support energy transformation initiatives centred on carbon capture, low-carbon fuels and hydrogen.

To optimise Shell assets around the world, Wood will leverage its experience in decarbonisation, digitalisation and asset life extension.

Wood’s consulting and engineering teams in Australia, Europe, Latin America, Middle East, North America and South East Asia will offer the services.

The contract, of which the financial value was not disclosed, can be extended two times for one year.

Last month, Shell subsidiary Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) awarded a two-year contract to Wood.

Valued at $250m (Br335m), the BSP contract will see Wood increase efficiency and production capacity by revitalising BSP’s offshore energy assets.
