United Engineering Services (UES), part of the Mohammed Al Barwani Group, has partnered with the KERUI Group to form a joint venture that will manufacture oil and gas equipment in Oman, as reported by Zawya.
The collaboration aims to enhance the supply chain and support local energy projects in the region.
The joint venture is a result of a decade-long successful association between KERUI and the MB Group, showcasing their shared trust and expertise.
UES CEO Salim Al Harthy stated: “This marks an important milestone in our relationship, and we are confident that our innovative engineering solutions will complement KERUI’s excellence in oil and gas equipment manufacturing.
“This partnership aims to drive innovation and growth in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) energy industry. It is also an opportunity to expand in-country value in Oman and transfer knowledge to the region.”
UES has more than four decades of experience in providing quality engineering solutions and operates a 220,000m² manufacturing facility in Rusayl Industrial City.
KERUI has been supplying advanced drilling rigs and other oilfield equipment to the Omani and GCC markets since 2006.
The establishment of the joint venture underscores the commitment of both companies to bolster the region's energy infrastructure by combining their strengths.
The new facility will increase local production, create job opportunities and contribute to the industrial growth of Oman.
The move aligns with the country's broader energy strategy, as evidenced by the recent concession agreement signed by Oman’s Ministry of Energy and Minerals with the Daleel Petroleum Company to enhance oil and gas exploration in Al Dhahirah governorate’s Concession Area No 15.
Daleel Petroleum, a joint venture between Mezoon Petrogas and the China National Petroleum Corporation, is set to conduct extensive geological studies, reprocess seismic data, carry out a 3D seismic survey and drill exploratory wells to assess the hydrocarbon potential of the 1,389km² area.
