UK-based oil and gas company Harbour Energy has signed a five-year master service agreement (MSA) with EthosEnergy.
The deal, which has an option for extension, positions EthosEnergy as the primary service provider for the maintenance and support of Harbour Energy's light industrial gas turbines across three North Sea production assets in the UK sector.
EthosEnergy has been associated with Harbour Energy for 15 years.
It has also worked with its predecessors Premier Oil, Chrysaor and ConocoPhillips UK North Sea during this period.
Premier Oil merged with Chrysaor in 2021 to become Harbour Energy.
The new agreement expands EthosEnergy's role, doubling the number of gas turbine units it supports for Harbour Energy.
Furthermore, EthosEnergy will provide extensive field service and workshop support, supply spare parts, and carry out regular planned and unplanned maintenance as part of the MSA.
According to EthosEnergy EVP of east hemisphere Mario Cincotta, the North Sea has ageing infrastructure that needs constant maintenance to be safe and functional.
He also highlighted the challenges posed by the harsh environmental conditions and the continuous activity on these assets.
Cincotta added: “We are proud to provide our comprehensive suite of services, including the repair and ongoing maintenance of the gas turbine units, to Harbour Energy.
“The expansion of our relationship builds on the impressive steps we have taken alongside Harbour Energy to support the company in lowering life cycle costs increasing reliability of its turbines and extending equipment life across its asset portfolio.
“This strengthened relationship is testament to our offering and represents our unwavering commitment to the North Sea and our strategic growth plan.”
In December 2022, Harbour Energy reached an agreement to acquire Wintershall Dea’s upstream oil and gas assets in a deal valued at $11.2bn (£8.88bn).
The assets covered in the acquisition are in Algeria, Argentina, Denmark, Egypt, Germany, Libya, Mexico and Norway.
