CryoSys has signed an agreement  with PIC Americas to provide advanced pretreatment and liquefaction solutions for a planned 7.2mtpa LNG export facility on the Texas Gulf Coast.

Strategically located along a deep-water channel, the facility will offer access to various maritime vessels including ocean-going barges and address the growing demand for cleaner-burning fuels in the Americas.

The facility is designed for potential expansion up to 14mtpa, enabling PIC Americas to meet increasing global LNG demand and ensure reliable supply chains.

It will include bunkering services, LNG ISO (International Organization for Standardization) containers for flexible distribution and fuelling for LNG carriers.

PIC Americas chairman and CEO Michael Hood said: "PIC Americas is focused on responding to long-term market demands and is poised to deliver a landmark project that sets new standards for LNG production and distribution.

“By leveraging CryoSys' expertise and the strategic location of the Texas Gulf Coast, this facility will not only support the growing global LNG demand but will also reinforce the region's position as a critical energy hub."

CryoSys president Neil Karr said: "We are proud that PIC Americas sought to work with CryoSys on this cutting-edge facility. We are excited to work with Michael and his team at PIC Americas to bring this project online and continue to be at the forefront of LNG technology."

CryoSys' innovative process design and modular approach are set to improve operational reliability and efficiency across the entire life cycle of the facility.

This methodology aims to reduce project timelines and mitigate risks, providing a scalable solution for the dynamic LNG market.

The facility will also include truck racks to facilitate overland fuel distribution, expanding its logistical reach and service capabilities.

PIC Americas stated that this project underscores its commitment to being a pivotal LNG provider.
