Aquaterra Energy, an offshore engineering solutions provider, has secured a three-year contract to provide offshore analysis services for an independent UK exploration and production company.

The value of the contract and the details of the contractor were not disclosed.

Under the agreement, Aquaterra Energy will offer a comprehensive range of services including riser and conductor analysis for jack-ups and semi-submersibles, integrity management, decommissioning and late-life analysis.

The contract mandates Aquaterra Energy to deliver insights and recommendations to manage risks and optimise offshore designs across the operator's full portfolio, enhancing operational performance.

The scope of work extends across the entire offshore project life cycle, from the early planning stages to the extension or decommissioning of late-life wells.

Aquaterra Energy managing director James Larnder said: "We are delighted to strengthen our partnership with this customer by signing this contract. To support this growth, we have doubled our analysis team over the past few years, with a focus on recruiting graduates through our award-winning graduate programme.”

In a recent development, INEOS, a chemical and oil and gas producer, selected Aquaterra Energy in November 2023 to support the life extension of an offshore platform for CO₂ injection.

The life extension project is part of the Project Greensand carbon capture and storage (CCS) initiative in Denmark, which is set to store up to 1.5 million tonnes of CO₂ annually by 2025.

Additionally, in October last year, Aquaterra Energy expanded its reach by partnering with PROGTECH Services.

The collaboration aims to meet increasing demand for intelligent offshore engineering solutions in the Middle East.
