Amarinth has secured an order for the supply of pumps for the Agogo FPSO vessel in Angola.

The order has been placed by an undisclosed Norwegian energy recovery and water treatment specialist.

Amarinth's pump design is tailored for low NPSH duties, a critical requirement for the confined spaces on FPSO vessels.

These pumps are built to comply with NORSOK M-630 standards, ensuring they meet the stringent material specifications required for offshore petrochemical applications.

Amarinth managing director Oliver Brigginshaw said: “Securing a second order with this important Norwegian customer, this time for the FPSO Agogo, represents another significant milestone for Amarinth in our commitment to delivering high-performance solutions in the most demanding of environments, particularly within the burgeoning FPSO market.

“With a bespoke pump design tailored to meet stringent requirements, we have once again demonstrated our agility and expertise in addressing complex project needs, supporting our customer and Yinson Production in their endeavours."

Due to be commissioned in the fourth quarter of 2025, the Agogo FPSO is under construction by Yinson Production.

It will be operated as part of Agogo integrated west hub development project in block 15/06 offshore Angola.

The field plan involves 36 new wells including 21 producers and 15 injectors, and one FPSO vessel with a production capacity of 120,000 barrels per day (bpd) of oil.

The Agogo Integrated West Hub aims to produce hydrocarbons from the Agogo and Ndungu Fields through the new Agogo FPSO unit and the existing Ngoma FPSO system. It is expected to have a peak production capacity of 175,000bpd.

Last year, Azule Energy, through its subsidiary Eni Angola, secured contracts to support the development of the Agogo Integrated West Hub Project.
