Oilfield monitoring and optimisation solution provider WellAware has entered a product partnership to offer complete pump rate monitoring and control for chemical injection solutions provider CheckPoint Pumps & Systems’ full line of pumps.
CheckPoint’s clients can now use the industrial internet of things (IoT) solution to reduce operating costs and minimise downtime for oil and gas operators.
The solution also allows customers to remotely monitor tank levels and pump rates using their web browser or WellAware’s native iOS and Android application.
WellAware chief product officer Dave Milam said: “Production chemical costs are among the top three operating expenses for oil and gas operators, yet are often one of the most difficult to control due to the remote nature of the assets and the lack of transparency between operators and chemical service providers.
“Through this new partnership between WellAware and CheckPoint Pumps & Systems, CheckPoint customers can significantly reduce operating costs and downtime by remotely monitoring and controlling pump rates.”
The occurrence of issues is detected by configurable alarms, following which technicians can manage by exception and prioritise their time where it is needed most.
